Akhal Teke Horse Association Asbl respects the privacy of its members, in particular their rights regarding processing of personal data. We have therefore formulated and implemented a policy on complete transparency with our members with regard to the processing of personal data, its purpose(s) and the possibilities to exercise your legal rights in the best possible way.

Legal Definition

The processing of personal data

1. Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural peron (‘data subject’)
2. An identifieable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, adress, email adress of that natural person.
3. We process the following categories of personal data from our members: name, adress, email adress, phone number(s), Akhal Teke horse(s). This information is provided voluntary by the members to Atha.

Purpose of processing

We collect personal information for our subscriptions and for the communication with members and for events that Atha organises.

Registration of personal data

Your personal data are recorded in an electronic register; available only to the board of Atha.

Your rights regarding information

1. Each person/data subject has the right to information and to rectification, erasure and restriction of his personal data.
2. You can exercise these rights by contacting secretary marianweltevreden@hotmail.com.
3. Each request must be in writing, accompanied by a valid email adress or phone number where we can contact you.
4. Within one month of the submitted request you will receive an answer from us.

Legal obligations

In case of an infringement of any law or regulation, of which a member is suspected and for the authorities require the personal data collected by Atha, they will be provided after an explicit and reasoned request of those authorities, after which these data do not fall anymore under the protection of the provisions of this Privacy policy.

Commercial offers

1. Atha is a non profit organisation and does not send commercial offers.
2. Your personal data will not be used by our partners for commercial purposes.

Data retention The collection data are used and retained for the duration of your membership.
